Drive Breakdown
Breakdown 1: Driver alarm
| Breakdown Causes | Solutions |
| DA98 driver is used in system, system gives drive alarm due to drive failure and at the same time the drivers gives alarm too | Read the operating instruction of DA98 driver or the appendix of this manual, find out breakdown causes based on driver alarm code, then handle the breakdown according to instructions |
| Step driver is used in system. system gives drive alarm due to drive failure | Check if the red alarm light is on. If so, check if the power supply circuit is broken; check if there is water damage in the driver. If so, dry the driver and install protective device; if it still doesn¡¯t work, then send the driver to the manufacturer for maintenance |
| Tight mechanical screw causes mechanical stuck, motor overload and overheat, triggering driver alarm | As for mechanical tightness, adjust the screw or other mechanical parts; as for overload, then check the cutting output and feeding speed, improve the technique or change motor or driver with larger load |
| Water and oil damage in motor plug and socket burns down the interface; motor insulation damage leads to the short circuit of power amplifier tube and driver alarm; motor damage causes driver alarm | If there is water in the socket interface, change plug or socket and take waterproof and insulation measures; if there is breakdown of diver power amplifier tube, change the driver power amplifier tube 460 and a motor with better insulativity; check the motor. Disconnect the motor and the driver, run the driver without the motor, modify the selection of motor high and low level. If no alarm sent, then it is motor damage or motor shortage |
| Mismatch between driver and motor, use the driver with large current to drive the motor with low current | Change driver or motor and make them match. Servo drive must be matched with servo motor |
| Inoperation of the driver leads to system alarm | Check the driver power circuit, check if there is broken circuit or damaged components which causes no power supply for the driver; check if the motor is short circuited, causing damage to the driver fuse or power amplifier tube and no power supply for the driver; if the power circuit fails, then send the driver to the manufacturer for maintenance |
Breakdown 2: DF3A driver alarm once amplifying power
| Breakdown Causes | Solutions |
| Short circuit among phases of motor driven by the driver or bad insulation makes phase current uneven and causes the driver alarm | Change step motor with better performance |
Breakdown 3: DF3A driver sometimes gives an alarm and sometimes runs normally
| Breakdown Causes | Solutions |
| External short circuit damages the driver¡¯s inner capacitor | Change drive circuit board or check if the inner capacitor C7 400V/22uF is burst up and damaged |
Breakdown 4: DF3A driver axis simultaneous alarm during machining
| Breakdown Causes | Solutions |
| Bad grounding of the driver or high external supply voltage. The driver is equipped with the same circuit power, so one driver alarm will interfere the other two drivers and cause alarm at the same time | Use multimeter to check if three-phase power is too high; if the driver is grounded reliably; connect the ground wire of driver axis and of isolation transformer, connect reliably with ground terminal and make sure three-phase power voltage is within normal power supply range |
