Application of GSK-RB08A3 Robot to the Welding of Large Square Tubes in a Company in Shenzhen
Customer requirements
- The welding will be carried out by a robot instead of a welder, with manual loading and unloading of workpieces; the welding will be done in one clamping operation;
- The maximum width of the workpiece is 2255mm, the maximum length is 4865mm, and the minimum wall thickness is 3mm.

Solutions:
- The project consists of one RB08A3 welding robot, one gun-cleaning and wire-cutting mechanism, one set of welding tooling, one automatic welding power source, and one set of automatic anti-collision welding gun;
- Due to the length of workpieces, RB08A3-1840 robot shall be employed for the project;
- In order to ensure the stability and continuity of welding, the project is supported by a mechanism for gun-cleaning and wire-cutting.

- The process equipment is achieved that the workpiece is clamped once and the two robots weld diagonally, so that the deformation is effectively controlled;
